How FraudBD Works
FraudBD helps online sellers in Bangladesh review a customer's delivery history before sending a cash on delivery parcel.
Where results come from
- Courier delivery history: order, delivery and cancellation totals or customer ratings for the phone number, gathered from connected courier sources and data providers.
- Merchant reports: reports from other sellers. These only count after our team approves them, and sellers never see who made a report.
What the result means
- Safe to send: a good delivery record.
- Call first: a mixed record, or at least one approved merchant report.
- Take advance payment: a poor record, or several approved merchant reports.
- New customer: no delivery history was found.
How up to date results are
To keep searches fast, a result can be saved and reused for up to 7 days. Data from outside providers may also be a little older. Sellers can request a refresh from the dashboard.
What results can't tell you
A result is a guide based on past records, not proof of fraud or a guarantee of what a customer will do. Records can be incomplete, and a parcel can be cancelled for reasons that aren't the customer's fault. Sellers should use their own judgement and treat every customer fairly.
If you think your number was reported by mistake
Anyone can ask us to review a report. Send an appeal and our team will look into it.
